The three hospital projects represented within Health Care each presented unique challenges.
Midwest Regional Medical Center is in Galena, Illinois, a historic community in a rural part of the state. It was very important to tie into the community, the history of the town and the hospital, but also to provide an art selection that complemented the more contemporary design of the hospital. We successfully tied in all of these elements.
Emory/Johns Creek Hospital is a joint venture between Emory University and the Hospital Corporation of America. Located in the upscale community of Duluth, just north of Atlanta, John’s Creek targets the expanding suburban market. Visually, the design is clean and elegant, with the goal of creating a hospitality experience for the consumer/patient.
The Villages Regional Medical Center was an addition to an existing hospital in a retirement community in central Florida. It was crucial that the artwork selection flow with the existing pieces, which had been added years before, but also integrate smoothly with the updated design and finishes of the addition.
